J Kumar Infra bags 900-million-rupee civil work for AHMEDABAD Metro’s 3 Pockets

MUMBAI | RAJKOT – In a regulatory filing submitted on Wednesday to the Stock Exchanges in India, Mumbai headquartered J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd., said of having bagged civil construction works for 3 pockets of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro Project.

Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Company Ltd’s variation order for construction of balance civil and engineering & maintenance at Rabari Colony, Vastral and Nirant Road Metro Stations through variation in work of construction of elevated viaduct from Vastral Gam to Apparel Park for an amount of Rs.90 crore  (Ninty Crore Rupees) has been awarded to the company, the filing read.

In addition to MEGA project’s balance construction work contract, company has also bagged project from Uttar-Pradesh Government’s construction arm Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam for construction of medical service facilities amounting to 1.77 billion (~177 crore) rupees. The said facility is to be constructed at Lucknow.

The Company has also bagged two orders from Maharashtra state for Pune Metro project amounting to 3.89 billion rupees (~389 crore) rupees and Mumbai Metro project works amounting to 8.68 billion (~868 crore) rupees, the company filing read.

In all the company has bagged four projects amounting to 15.24 billion (~1,524 crore) rupees from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra governments.

Post-Announcement of having bagged construction orders from State government, company shares witnessed sentimental spike from investors & traders, resulting the share trading in GREEN Zone on positive counters immediately, after the announcement hit the exchange on Wednesday.
