Gujarat Government’s public grievance solving programme hits 97% success ratio

GANDHINAGAR | AHMEDABAD | RAJKOT – Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani four pillar agenda of good governance,  transparency, compassion, decisiveness and progress under ‘Seva Setu’programme received overwhelming support from the people as the programme attained nearly 97 success ratio for solving public grievances under various government schemes on-the-spot at local level itself from over 1 million (10 lakh) people during the time-span of last 45 days.
Seva Setu programme was announced by Rupani on the auspicious day of Laabh-Paancham on November 5, 2016 – Saturday.
Against 10,54,149 complaints received people from 8557 villages-wards and 141 urban areasat 1,199 Seva Setu camps till December 20 last, almost 10,19,475 were solved, registering a success rate of 96.71%.
Category-wise complaints solved as follows:
In Rural Areas
– Grievances to Vatsalya Card (healthcare upto 2-lakh rupees for needy families) 32,899 cases out of 35,868 cases were solved
– Grievances to avail benefits of Ma Amritam Yojna 11,024 cases out of of 12,632 were solved
(ensuring annual health cover of Rs.878-crore to 43,923 families)
– Grievances for availing Widow assistance 1,998 cases out of 2,476 cases were solved
– Grievances for availing Aadhar Card 82,176 cases out of 82,779 cases were solved.
In Semi-Urban Areas
– Grievances to avail Vatsalya card 8,212 cases out of 8,507 cases were solved.
– Grievances for benefits of Ma Amritam Yojna 4,033 cases out of 4,397 cases were solved.
(ensuring health insurance cover of Rs.244-crore to 12,245 families)
– Grievances for availing Widow assistance 458 cases out of 587 cases were solved.
In Municipal Corporation Areas
– Grievances to avail Vatsalya card 1,268 cases out of 1,526 cases were solved.
– Grievances to avail benefits of Ma Amritam Yojana 1,336 cases out of 1,393 cases were solved.
(ensuring health insurance cover of Rs.52-crore to 2,604 families)
– Grievances for availing Widow assistance 120 cases out of 371 cases were solved.
As per the present precedence, one round of Seva Setu is arranged in a cluster of 8-10 villages every quarter, which comes to four rounds in a year, thus giving the villagers the feel of solving their problems with the efficiency witnessed by the Secretariat. It may be mentioned here that no fee is charged for application, while the procedure is monitored online as well. Ministers and office-bearers remain present at the Seva Setu camps to make the programme all the more people-oriented virtually at their doorstep.
