NEW DELHI | RAJKOT – After 48 hours of the Super Exclusive Interview India Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave to ANI (Asia News International) Editor-in-Chief Smita Prakash, the scribe has emerged as one juggernaut in internet space, as the media, intellectuals and politicians are busy dissecting & bisecting the content of the dialogue.

Internet is flooded with the algorithms on what sort of ripples the conversation has created politically, on social media and in the Journalism circuit, of the nation.

Amidst the heated Parliament Sessions passing bills, arguing Joint Parliament Committee action on Rafale Deal, Triple Talaaq Bill and Sabarimala Protests, once again the media narrative has shifted from all such pivotal topics.

Headlines on television, internet, digital media, newspapers, social media networks & platforms are flooded with content of the dialogue, as the conversation – though unofficial, yet – sets the tone for LokSabha 2019.

As the nation is busy decoding the content and the interview, we at DATELINE GUJARAT (https://datelinegujarat.com) tried to understand, as to who is Smita Prakash, to whom India PM Modi preferred to talk on the eve of new year.

Below is the full-fledged YouTube Video Link of same 95 minutes long SUPER EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

WHO IS SMITA PRAKASH?

Smita Prakash is the one & only Indian journalist who got access to the Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier at the Dassault Aviation hanger in Istre-Le Tube Airfield, after the Rafale controversy hit at its peak, shaking the power corridors and corporate space of the Nation.

Having worked as journalist and as Business Journalist for 23 years (two decades plus) and having represented several national and international media brands, trust me, “it is not easy to (even) get an access” – in first place of a corporate, especially arms manufacturing multinational’s head-honcho, whose company is at the epicenter of controversy, forget the interview! and that too on a CAMERA(!).

Smita Prakash is the one & only Indian Journalist to have interviewed Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier in November 2018, after the Rafale Fighter Jet controvery hit the power corriders of the Nation.

Barring her own personal Website, her Twitter, Facebook Profile-1, Facebook Profile-2, Facebook Page and LinkedIn Profile, not much of details of Smita Prakash is visible in Public Domain.

Below narrated is the YouTube Video link of commentary by Arfa Khanum Sherwani from THE WIRE platform,

WHY NO PRESS CONFERENCE?

Why India Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not holding a press conference(?) is one major question teasing all the journalists working today in New Delhi.

It has been for the first time that in last 5 years, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not addressed a single & collective Press Conference, taking questions from all journalists and answering it, on a common platform.

Modi has given several personal one-to-one interviews to journalists from national and international media organizations, but journalists are demanding and waiting, for a press-conference from him.

Aaj Ki Taazaa Khabar came openly championing the ANI Exclusive Interview of India PM Narendra Modi, giving account of similar such past interviews and press conference addressed by Prime Minister’s Office and how it all ended?

As the analysis on what, where, why, when, who, how of the ANI’s Exclusive interview of India Prime Minister keeps on happening amidst the intellectuals, politicians, journalists, we have gone a little ahead to see, WHAT NEXT?

Will India Prime Minister Narendra just stop here(?) after having spoken to ANI(!) or there will be series of such interviews to speak on the numbers!

How will the International Media react on the 2019 polls and the curtain raiser narratives, as the largest democracy of the world – has now though unofficially set the tone and has entered election mode for LokSabha 2019, as the political temperature of the nation, now rises from here – though it is WINTERS and Capital of the Nation experiencing COLD-WAVE!

We at DATELINE GUJARAT (https://datelinegujarat.com) are enthusiastically and eagerly keeping our eyes, ears and nose open – to sense, as to how things are shaping on the political landscape of the nation, from here – from now.

WHERE IS THE BJP IT MEDIA CELL?

One biggest observation, which i have personally made after this SUPER EXCLUSIVE ANI INTERVIEW of India Prime Minister of Narendra Modi is that, “My Social Media is absolutely dry, in era of FREE DATA(!) …” and that is the biggest surprise for me!

Before 2014 the tempelates interview to go viral in full tone were set and every picture, every word, every moment – remember, “Mein nahi aayaa, Maa Ganga ne Mujhe Bulaayaa hai …” and “Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi …” was the flavour of the season!

After this 95 minutes BULLET TRAIN styled interview, not even 9.5 (yes – I repeat 9.5) templates have landed on my WhatsApp or Social Media handles! trying to convenience me and several others like me, that – “How right was India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while he answered the pointed & sharp questions of Smita Prakash!”

Or the BJP IT Cell has fizzled out post Pradyut Bora having quit the IT Cell of the party.

Or has the self-styled campaigners now realized and the Narendra Modi narrative no-more excites them or they are busy filing GST Returns and struggling the economic slowdown, in their respective businesses.

Vibrant Gujarat 2019, Global Investors’ Summit – Version 9.0 is all set to gear the momentum, lets see who are all logging in and what sort of excitement kicks-off to engage investors, after United Kingdoms (UK) and United States of America (USA) have denied to be the partner countries for the bi-annual investment magnet event, on the soil of Gujarat at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar from January 18-20, 2018.

Also awaiting the Union Budget 2019 to be tabled in the Indian Parliament in the month of February 2019, and trying to gauge its impact, as to how bland it shall be, as it would be an “On Account” fiscal narrative for the income-expenditure data of the nation.

LAST BUT, NOT LEAST …

Last but not least, in an era of Digital Media, despite being an Asian media brand ANI’s Digital Presence is nowhere in the TOP-35 MAINSTREAM MEDIA BRANDS in India (forget TOP 5, TOP 10, TOP 15, TOP 20, TOP 25, TOP 30 or even TOP 35), keeping in view its FACEBOOK Page Likes and engagement on the content.

Despite, the interview which has created so much of noise, neither ANI nor ANI Editor-in-Chief Smita Prakash have been seen trending anywhere on Social Media(!).

Except that the ANI Website crashed, which was tweeted on twitter.

ANI Website crashed for a while, the tweet said and was restored back, on Jan 1, 2019.

ANI Website crashed for a while, the tweet said and was restored back, on Jan 1, 2019.

Neither the social media engagement data pointers of ANI has skyrocketed, in last 48 hours!

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who after logging at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in year 2014 gave his first interview to CNN’s FAREED ZAKARIA! after 5 years gives an interview to a WIRE SERVICE, which is nowhere on the TOP 35 DIGITAL BRAND landscape of the Nation.

But, this is definitely the Induben Khakhrawaalaa or Jasuben Pizzawaalaa moment for ANI Editor-in-Chief Smita Prakash, this interview with Modi can definitely be seen like the Midas Touch.

As said in one of the addresses at Shriram College at New Delhi, the way Narendra Modi had made mention about Induben and Jashuben, their khakhra and pizza sales have skyrocketed, since than.

HOWEVER, ALL THAT ENDS WELL, IS WELL!

Editors’ Guild has issued a statement stating it has ‘taken note’ with concern of the words used by Indian National Congress President Rahul Gandhi, in his criticism of ANI Editor-in-Chief Smita Prakash.
