Adani Ports 2020 target to attain 200 MMT cargo handling, achieved in 2019

AHMEDABAD | MUMBAI | RAJKOT – In a press release submitted to the Indian Stock Exchanges on Wednesday, Private Port sector major Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd said of having attained 200 million metric tons combined cargo handling mark, across the ports beehived under the company’s flagship on east and west coast.

With this number of having handled 200 million metric tons of cargo across all the ports under its flagship, Adani Group becomes the first Indian port operator to have crossed the benchmark, set by the company itself.

With this milestone of having handled 200 million metric tons cargo, APSEZ enters league of the top 5 most growing port players across the world.

The group aimed to touch the 200 million metric tons cargo handling mark by year 2020, but instead the company has attained the numbers with increase in number of port operations across east and west coast, which has helped the company to attain the 2020 targets, well in advance, a year ahead ie in year 2019.
